Why attend our Pilates classes
“I found they helped with my posture. From working in childcare a long time I suffered a lot from low back pain frequently and Pilates helped me use my body in different way to avoid it becoming sore. Apart from that I felt it helped me with my running, especially performance and focusing on how I run and to switch everything on. Overall I feel fitter since I started Pilates and that is why I will continue with it”
Stef
“The main reason for me coming to classes was that I had some back and neck issues and the classes have strengthened them up and I don’t have the pain that I used to.”
John
“Since retiring from Gaelic in 2016 with an ACL injury my main reasons for attending Pilates are to keep my quads & hamstrings strong & also keep my overall body strong & well stretched. Pilates and s&c (unfortunately) wasn’t around when I was growing up so my body has taken a lot of punishment through contact sport for years. so I hope Pilates will help maintain it & keep the stiffness at bay. I also enjoy the chats with a few of the women that have been there long term.”
Niamh
“My main goal for coming to the classes would be to strengthen my core. I have 3 kids close in age and had SPD in all my pregnancies and I was still in pain afterwards. The main motivation to keep coming back is that I can really feel an improvement and any time I can’t come to classes for a few weeks the niggles and pains tend to return. “

Margaret loves teaching Mat but she gets a thrill from teaching Reformer. Margaret believes you see and feel results faster on the Reformer due to the resistance of the springs. Pilates is a super way of keeping fit & keeping the body mobile. Hope to see you in the studio soon.
